Even though they did not lead throughout, (3)Aquinas looked the better team in their A sectional seminfinal with (2)Geneva, finishing with a 62-54 win.
Kyron Allen led the Little Irish with 18 points including four 3-pointers. George Graham also added 13 for Aquinas. Geneva has three scorers in double-figures with Junior Sims leading all with 12.
With the win, Aquinas will take on (1)Charlotte in the Class A final on Saturday, March 2 at 9:00 from Blue Cross Arena.
