Penfield Wins Tight Cheerleading Title

Penfield beat out Fairport and Webster Thomas by one point each to take the Class AA1 cheerleading crown Saturday in the Cheerleading Winter Sectionals at RIT. Three teams had never been separated by one point for a cheerleading class championship.

Spencerport beat out Victor at Class AA2 while Wayne nipped Arcadia by one point at Class A.

Livonia was also a one-point winner, beating out Dansville at Class B1.

No other championship was decided by less than ten points as Hornell, Avon, Red Jacket, York and Avoca also won titles.
