Wilson 61, Penfield 58 F/OT

After Penfield went on a 9-0 run to start the second half to take a ten point lead, it looked like Wilson was donwn for the count. The Wildcats came clawing back to tie it at the final buzzer then took the lead in overtime before holding on for a 61-58 win.

Wilson led 50-49 in the final minute of regulation before Penfield's Mitch Cote banked a 3-pointer off glass to take a 52-50 lead with 7.9 seconds remaining. In their final possession, Jevis White hit a runner as time expiered to tie it at 52.

In the extra session, Wilson scored seven of their nine points from the free-throw line. Troy Frierson led the Wildcats with 26 points and 12 rebounds.

With 5.6 seconds remaining and trailing 61-58, Cote tried another buzerr-beater, this time from halfcourt, but it bounced off the rim.

Wilson is now 3-3, Penfield falls to 4-3. The Wildcats will play Brighton on Saturday in the Penfield Coaches Vs Cancer Tournament Final.
