Churchville-Chili 44, HF-L 43 (F-OT)

Offense has not been hard to come by for the Churchville-Chili Saints, but on Friday it was their defense that stepped up big in their 44-43 overtime win over HF-L.
CC running back Josh Powell finished the night with 31 carries for 218 yards rushing and five touchdowns, including the go-ahead score in overtime. The Saints were also led on offense by quarterback John Iacucci, who threw for 189 yards and a score.
After Powell's touchdown put the Saints ahead 44-37 in overtime, HF-L moved down the field. Quarterback Alex Obenhofer connected with Jake Apthorpe on a touchdown pass to make it 44-43. HF-L decided to go for the win, but CC linebacker Alex Chesley came up with a huge stop on running back Ryan Quackenbush to seal the win.
Both team now sit at 1-3 this season.
