Wings' Win Streak Snapped After Being Blanked by Knights

Charlotte scored runs early in the top of the first off Luke Frenchg when Dan Johnson and Conor Jackson brought in Greg Golson and Tyler Kuhn respectively to take a 2-0 lead.
In the top of the third, Charlotte extended their lead with a two-run home run by Johnson, making the score 4-0 Knights.
Tsuyoshi Nishioka led off the bottom of the third with a single, but Rene Rivera grounded into a double play, clearing the bases. With two outs, Michael Hollimon reached base on a single, but Pedro Florimon was unable to keep the inning alive when he flew out to center, leaving the score at 4-0 Charlotte.
Charlotte added another run in the top of the fifth when Ray Olmedo hit an RBI single to score Jackson, making the score 5-0 Charlotte. After Jackson scored, French was relieved by Deolis Guerra. French pitched 4 2/3 innings with 10 hits, five earned runs, two walks, three strikeouts, and one home run.
Duente Heath was relieved by Jhan Carlos Marinez to start the bottom of the fifth. Heath pitched very well in four innings of work, allowing only two hits and stiking out three.
Caleb Theilbar relieved Guerra in the top of the seventh. Guerra left the game with 1 1/3 innings pitched, two walks, and three strikeouts.
In the bottom of the eighth Dallas McPherson hit an RBI single to score Tyler Kuhn, making the score 6-0 Charlotte.
