The Rochester Knighthawks battled inconsistency all season long. Their 7-9 record almost kept them out of the postseason. However, as so often happens, the Knighthawks prove that they only have to reach the postseason, and then anything is possible.

The Knighthawks also picked a perfect time to have their first 3-game winning streak of the season. It began with a win over Philadelphia in the Knighthawks final regular season game. Their first round opponent also happened to be Philly and the KHawks dispensed them for the fourth time this season. The semi-final round against Toronto was seen as the probable end for Rochester, but in a surprise upset, the Knighthawks won at the Air Canada Centre 17-13.

The team is aware they may have caught people by surprise by reaching the NLL title game, but it means they have been proving doubters wrong. They find nothing wrong with that.
