Girls: Kearney 67, Mercy 64 F/2OT

Peyton Jackson hadn't scored since halftime and hadn't played much late in a game that was rocking the Mercy gymnasium.
Then, Kearney had two players foul out and Jackson got the call to go back in.
She was ready.
Jackson nailed a go-ahead floater on her first touch of overtime and then hit the game winner a minute later as Kearney finally won an amazing game over Mercy 67-64 in double overtime on Blossom Road Monday night.
Jackson finished with ten points, but those two clutch buckets were her only points after the second quarter.
The game featured multiple flurries of baskets as both teams displayed elite level shot making for long stretches.
The 4th quarter was one of those stretches. The lead exchanged hands six times before Karley Fanning capped a 6-0 Kings run that gave BK a five point lead.
Mercy chipped away and Tylar Guerrieri put the Monarchs on top at 54-53 after making two free throws with 17 seconds left.
Fanning answered by drawing a foul. She missed the first free throw and made the second to tie the game at 54 with seven seconds left. Mercy turned the ball over after inbounding and Kearney ended up with the last shot, but fired an airball as time expired.
Both teams went dry in the first overtime. Mercy's only points came on two free throws. Fanning tied the game on a layup with just under a minute to go. She was fouled, but could not make the free throw.
Mercy again had a chance to take the final shot after a timeout with eight seconds to go. Again, they turned it over. Kearney, for a second straight period, had the final shot, but was called for a charge and the first extra session ended at 56-56.
In the second overtime, each offense flipped the switch back to on.
Fanning opened with a three point play for Kearney, only to have Danielle Fuss tie with a three point shot. Anna Brado finished a BK fast-break with a layup, but Samantha Sorge gave Mercy their first lead of double overtime on a three point play.
This is where Jackson entered the game. On her first possession, she drove right and hit a 6-foot floater as Kearney went ahead 63-62. Julia Delgatti's baseline drive pushed Mercy on top a second time, but the Monarchs never scored again.
Jackson finished a give and go with another short jumper that ended up the game winner. The Kings added two free throws with nine seconds left and Mercy could not get a decent look at three off before the buzzer.
Faning finished with 23 points and 11 rebounds and Taina Graham added 10 points, 12 assists and 6 steals for Bishop Kearney (12-6).
Samantha Sorge led Mercy (11-7) with 18 while Guerrieri ended up with 11 points and 13 rebounds.
