The Syracuse Post-Standard is reporting that Syracuse center Fab Melo will return to the men's basketball team and will be ready to play Saturday against St. John's.

Melo missed the last three SU games due to a reported academic issue. The Post-Standard is also reporting that Syracuse will give an official announcement on Thursday.

During his suspension, the Orange went 2-1 with wins over Cincinnati and West Virginia and a loss against Notre Dame.

Melo, a 7-foot sophomore center, is averaging 7.2 points and 5.7 rebounds per game, and leads the team with 60 blocked shots.
