Mark Arcobello matched the Barons' season high with a four-point game on two goals and two assists in Oklahoma City's 5-2 win over the Rochester Americans on Thursday at Blue Cross Arena.

The Barons scored five unanswered goals after Rochester opened the scoring with a rebound goal by Paul Szczechura at 7:53 of the first period.

The Barons responded to take a 2-1 lead after one period as Hunter Tremblay received an Arcobello pass down low and tucked it past David Leggio. Arcobello put Oklahoma City in front 2-1 at 18:41 on a point shot during a delayed penalty with the Barons utilizing en extra attacker. Chris VandeVelde, who came on the ice in that sequence to replace Yann Danis, and Tremblay picked up the assists.

Arcobello snapped the Barons ' 0-for-30 power play drought with a man advantage goal at 2:38 of the second. Philippe Cornet put in his own rebound for his 18th of the season to extend the lead to 4-1 at 5:30 of the second, followed by Teemu Hartikainen's ninth of the campaign at 18:41 on a snap shot from a steep angle.

Travis Turnbull concluded the scoring 11 seconds later on a breakaway.

Oklahoma City out-shot Rochester 34-22. Yann Danis improved to 16-8-1, while Leggio fell to 11-10-1.

The same two teams meet on Friday in Rochester at 7:35 pm.
