Gates-Chili No Match For Ossining In State Final

Gates-Chili was literally never in the game.

Ossining scored the first eight points, led by ten after the first quarter and went to the half with a 26-point lead on their way to a 86-69 win over the Spartans in the Class AA state final at Hudson Valley Community College Saturday night.

Saniya Chong led all scorers with 34 points to go with 12 rebounds, five steals and four assists. The UConn bound senior was named tournament MVP.

Cierra Dillard led Gates-Chili with 27 points and 12 boards. Kori Bayne-Walker had 23 points. The Spartans finish their season 24-1.
