Gates-Chili Steamrolls To State Final Four

Diona Johnson topped Gates-Chili with 29 points as the Spartans rolled past Jamestown 80-59 in the Class AA state quarterfinals Saturday afternoon at Buffalo State College.

The Spartans outscored Jamestown by ten in first half and ten more in the third quarter alone.

Cierra Dillard scored 15 points for G-C while Kori Bayne-Walker had 13, Lydia Thomas got 11 and Sedria Thomas poured in ten points.

Gates-Chili will next face Cicero-North Syracuse in the state semifinals. The game will tip 8pm Friday at Hudson Valley Community College near Albany.
