Eastridge atoned for under-performing in last year's Section V playoffs by cruising to a 47-7 win over Canandaigua in the Class A championship.
With the win, the Lancers will take on Sweet Home of Section VI in the state tournament on Friday, November 9th at 8:00 from All High Stadium in Buffalo.
Canandaigua scored early against Eastridge, placing the thought that the sixth-seeded Braves might be in the running for another upset. Those ideas were quickly erased when the Lancers score four touchdowns in the second quarter en route to a 26-7 halftime lead.
Eastridge quarterback Alec Mortillaro was named the final's MVP.
