Amerks tickets go on sale Saturday

(Rochester) The Rochester Americans announced today that individual game tickets for the Amerks 2012-13 regular season will go on sale Saturday, Sept. 15 at 10 a.m.
This season, all lower bowl (100 level) tickets can be purchased for $20, or $21 when purchased day of game at The Blue Cross Arena Box Office. Premium seating in the upper bowl (200 level), which includes all sections on the sides of the ice surface, is available for $18 per ticket, or $19 when purchased day of game at the Box Office. Upper level end and balcony seats can be purchased for $15 per game, or $16 when purchased day of game at the Box Office.
Rochester's 38-game home schedule kicks off at 7:05 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 12 when the team hosts the rival Syracuse Crunch at The Blue Cross Arena featuring a pregame "Party in the Atrium" with live music, a red carpet walk for the team, the return of the Friday Amerks Happy Hour and more.
Other home games of note include a date with the Albany Devils the day after Thanksgiving (Friday, Nov. 23), the first of five visits from the rival Toronto Marlies (Friday, Nov. 30), and the renewal of the AHL's oldest rivalry when the Hershey Bears come to Rochester on Sunday, Feb. 17 for a 3:05 p.m. game during Hockey Weekend Across America. The Amerks will also play a holiday homestand with games on Dec. 26 (vs. Lake Erie), Dec. 28 (vs. Lake Erie), Dec. 29 (vs. Binghamton) and a special New Year's Eve game at 3:05 p.m. against Hamilton. The home schedule is also dotted with visits from some more unfamiliar opponents, including San Antonio (Wednesday, Nov. 28), Houston (Friday, Feb. 15), Texas (Wednesday, Feb. 20) and Oklahoma City (Friday, Apr. 12).
The Amerks will play the vast majority of their home games on weekends, with 21 Friday home games, three Saturday home dates and three Sunday home outings. The team will also host six games on Wednesdays, three on Tuesdays and two on Mondays. A promotional schedule for the 2012-13 season, featuring information on ticket specials, theme nights and giveaway items, will be announced in the near future.
