Four years ago, Tony Collins started his foundation as a way to help raise money for youth programs in the Penn Yan area. Thursday, dozens of kids from ages 8 to 15 took part in his 3rd annual football and cheerleading camp at Penn Yan Academy.

Collins spent 8 years in the NFL as a running back for the New England Patriots and Miami Dolphins. He was named to the Pro Bowl in 1983 and played with the Patriots in Super Bowl XIX. Drugs nearly ran him out of the league and he served a year-long suspension in 1988 that almost ended his career. Collins wants to teach kids the right way to go about carrying themselves on and off the football field through postitive thinking and actions.
