Bills extend Fred Jackson contract

ORCHARD PARK, NY - The Buffalo Bills today announced that RB Fred Jackson has signed a contract extension with the team. In accordance with team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Jackson led the Bills in rushing for the third straight year in 2011, posting 934 yards on 170 carries with six touchdowns in 10 games. He finished the season first in the AFC (second in the NFL) with a 5.5 rushing average.
A 6-1, 216-pound Coe College product, Jackson signed with Buffalo as an undrafted free agent in 2006. Jackson has totaled 3,794 rushing yards on 817 carries and 16 touchdowns and added 175 catches for 1,535 yards and four touchdowns in 66 games with 38 starts.
