The Rochester Knighthawks ended the 2012 NLL regular season on a high note with a 9-7 win over the Phildalephia Wings on Saturday night at Blue Cross Arena.
Even with a 7-9 record, the Knighthawks will host a first-round playoff game against Philadelphia on Friday May 4th at Blue Cross Arena.
Rochester looked in control for most of the game and were boosted by rookie Stephen Keogh's career-high 4 goals. He also notched two assists. Goalie Matt Vinc stopped 345 of 42 Philadelphia shots.
The KHawks held a 6-5 lead going into the fourth quarter, but rattled off three quick goals to take a 9-5 lead. After that, they never looked back.
The Knighthawks swept all three games against Phildaelphia during the regular season. The playoff game on May 4th will be Rochester's first home playoff game since 2007 when they won the Champion's Cup.
