In a game where Wisconsin hit 14 three-point shots, it was their attempt at a 15th that nearly broke the hearts of Syracuse fans worldwide. Jordan Taylor's missed three-point shot with three seconds remaining allowed Syracuse to hang on for a 64-63 win over Wisconsin. For the Orange, it's their first trip to the Elite 8 in 2003, the last time SU won the national championship.

Syracuse (34-2) once again benefited from a balanced scoring attack. Four players scored in double figures for the Orange. C.J. Fair led the way with 15 points, while also picking up seven rebounds and four steals. Scoop Jardine scored 14 points, Brandon Triche chipped in 11, and Dion Waiters had 13 points off the bench.

Wisconsin (26-10) came out of halftime down six points and caught up quickly via the three-point shot. The Badgers finished the night 14-27 from behind the arc for 52%. Syracuse was also very effective shooting, but their shots mostly came close to the basket. The Orange finished the night shooting 55% on 27-49 shooting.

With the win, Syracuse awaits the winner of Ohio State and Cincinnati in the Elite 8.
