Twins option players to Red Wings

Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN - The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have optioned right-handed pitcher Carlos Gutierrez, infielder Tsuyoshi Nishioka, and outfielder Rene Tosoni to Triple-A Rochester.

In addition, the Twins reassigned the following nine players to Minor League camp: right-handed pitchers Jason BulgerLuis PerdomoDaryl Thompson, Esmerling Vasquez and P.J. Walters; catchersChris Herrmann and Dan Rohlfing; infielder Aaron Bates; outfielder Wilkin Ramirez.

The Twins now have 45 players in camp: 21 pitchers (5 non-roster), 6 catchers (3 non-roster), 11 infielders (5 non-roster) and 7 outfielders (2 non-roster).
