Charlotte Boys Repeat as Class B1 Section V Champs

The Charlotte Lakesiders have made a habit of winning in March. For the fourth time in six years, Charlotte claims a Section V trophy. This year, it is in the B1 classification, winning 67-625 over Pal-Mac.
The Lakesiders trailed 37-35 at halftime, but big plays from junior guard Kievonn Banks and senior center George Shoat and took control in the second half. Banks finished the day with a game-high 25 points. He also registered eight rebounds (six of them on the offensive end) and six steals. Shoat picked up a double-double with 19 points and ten rebounds. Malik Herring chipped in 12 points for the Lakesiders.
Cody Argus played vry well for Pal-Mac, scoring 23 points on 8-12 shooting from the floor. Derek Wager also had a double-double. He scored 17 points, grabbed 12 rebounds, and blocked 3 shots.
Charlotte will next face the winner of the B2 Final between Wayland-Cohocton and Wellsville on Wednesday.
