Latest StormWatch 8 Forecast
Reported by: BOB METCALFE

Very limited showers falling into the early evening in parts of the southern tier and western Finger Lakes, with all areas north remaining dry. The persistent upper level low that gave us the cold, damp weather for most of this week will begin to push away to our east into the holiday weekend, with improvements quick to follow.
There is a SLIGHT risk of a few early morning showers Sunday, mainly south and east of Rochester, but any showers will be short lived and will dissipate by midday. In fact, we'll begin to see the skies clear up bringing some sunshine for the afternoon hours. Temps will still be a bit below the seasonal normals, staying in the low 70s. Bring a sweatshirt to watch the fireworks, it will be rather chilly.
Trying for warmer weather by the middle of next week, with upper 70s and low 80s not out of the question by next Friday.
TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy with a few showers in the S. Tier/Finger Lakes. Most stay dry and cool.
LOW: 57
INDEPENDENCE DAY: Slight risk of an early AM spritz, then partial clearing and a little sunshine to celebrate with!
HIGH: 73
FIREWORKS TEMPS: 63-68
