Gates-Chili lost a hard fought game to Hilton in overtime during the regular season.
The Spartans had their revenge in the game that counted.
Levester Tucker scored two touchdowns, including the game winner, as Gates held off a late Hilton comeback to win 21-14 in a Class AA semifinal at Rochester Rhinos Stadium Sunday.
The second Tucker TD run gave the Spartans the lead with six minutes remaining. Hilton quickly came back down the field and faced fourth and ten inside the Gates' 20. Malcolm Frazier broke up a Duell Smith pass in the end zone to end the drive. Gates then converted a pair of fourth downs to run out the clock and complete the upset.
Smith threw for one TD and Mike Ingoglia ran for the other in a losing effort.
Frazier also completed an important 34 yard touchdown pass to Marcus McGill on fourth down late in the first half that tied the score at 14.
Gates-Chili will face their old rivals from Webster Schroeder in Saturday's final.
