Letchworth trailed 15-0 entering the fourth quarter against Wellsville.
No problem.
The Indians scored 20 points in the final period, including two touchdowns in the last four minutes, to beat Wellsville 20-15 in a Class C semifinal at Rochester Rhinos Stadium Saturday.
Ryan Owens found the end zone on a 12 yard run and then Chris Nevinger did the same from five yards away with three and a half minutes left in the game. Letchworth went for two on both TDs, scoring on the first, but failing on the second to trail 15-14.
However, the Indians recovered an onside kick and marched right down the field, taking the lead on an Owens' five yard run with 90 seconds remaining.
Chris Costello intercepted a last gasp Wellsville pass to put the game away. Mike Berardi scored both TDs for Wellsville. Letchworth gets the winner of Holley and Attica in next week's Class C finals.
