Dean loves to work in black and white. "I think they're more interesting than color, because first you had black and white and there wasn't color so you had to express a lot more through it...I like my black and white images the most." "Ali is a very natural photographer," says art instructor Deborah Teska. Her teachers say Ali shows a true commitment to her art. "She has a good eye for composition, an excellent eye for color and a real personal vision that comes through in her work," says Teska. "I collage and write things because I'm not much of a drawer, but I put my ideas and a lot of my inspiration in there to look back and create images from." Ali has already traveled to 11 countries, thanks to the people to people student ambassador program. The photos from these trips make up a rich part of her portfolio. Next fall---she heads to |
