Reported by: Maureen McGuire Tuesday, Dec 9, 2008 @12:30am EST Forty years ago this week, Mrs. Morton Phillips - otherwise known as Dear Abby - told Channel 8 newsman Tom Ryan to beware of a certain type of person around Christmas. To hear from Dear Abby, click on the video. Also in 1968, Channel 8 cameras became the first ever to record film inside St. Bernard's seminary.
