    Forty years ago this week, Mrs. Morton Phillips - otherwise known as Dear Abby - told Channel 8 newsman Tom Ryan to beware of a certain type of person around Christmas.  To hear from Dear Abby, click on the video.

    Also in 1968, Channel 8 cameras became the first ever to record film inside St. Bernard's seminary.  That year, the Catholic Diocese marked its 100th anniversary, and St. Bernard's marked its 75th anniversary.

    At the Route 15 train crossing in Rush, a 25-year-old man escaped without injury after he failed to stop his vehicle for a passing train.  He was hit by a Lehigh Valley freight train carrying 79 cars.

    Ten years ago this week, at the height of the impeachment hearings for then-President Bill Clinton, the phones were ringing off the hook at the offices of local lawmakers.  Constituents clogged the phone lines of local congressional representatives to make sure they voiced their opinion about the controversy over Clinton.
