According to the American Diabetes Association, the disease is on the rise. The prevalence of diabetes is up 13% in the last three years. On Wednesday morning, 37 physicians in the Rochester area were recognized for improving the quality of care of patients with diabetes. It's part of the Rochester Regional Quality Improvement Initiative. Doctors and health-care providers met constantly to share ways to improve care - such as how to increase the number of foot exams or how to better document care. |
