Reported by: WROC-TV Wednesday, Oct 22, 2008 @10:25am EDT ![]() Chris Lee is a businessman, a self-described fiscal conservative, and a political newcomer who ran unopposed for the Republican party nomination. Lee, who's running to represent New York's 26th congressional district, lives in Clarence, Erie County. He has no experience in politics, but Lee told News 8 in September that someone like him may be just what the unpopular U.S. Congress needs. "It tells you people are frustrated with the status quo," said Lee. What makes Lee qualified to represent the 26th, which represents parts of Monroe and Orleans counties, and all of Livingston, Genesee, and Wyoming counties? "Having real world experience. Running a manufacturing plant. More than anything people want to know that you are caretakers of their money. And there's no better people than business people." |
