Reported by: Newsroom Solutions @ arkansasmatters.com Friday, Nov 6, 2009 @02:10pm CST The newest handwritten Bible is joining the oldest in a rare exhibit.
When the "Dead Sea Scrolls" exhibition makes its debut at the Science Museum of Minnesota in March, it will include a gallery devoted to the "St. John's Bible." It's the first handwritten Bible to be commissioned in 500 years. The "Dead Sea Scrolls" are the oldest handwritten biblical manuscript and many of the same techniques used to transcribe them more than two-thousand years ago are being used today on the "St. John's Bible." The "St. John's Bible" will be completed in early 2011. |
