Reported by: WROC-TV Thursday, Nov 19, 2009 @01:00pm EST Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is bringing a message of thanks to U.S. troops serving in Afghanistan.
While there for the swearing-in of President Hamid Karzai, she told them it's important for the U.S. military to help the people of Afghanistan. Clinton pledged the troops would get the kind of support they need to help bring about Karzai's promises. During today's ceremony, Karzai pledged to end corruption that has fostered complaints that his government is plagued with mismanagement. He also vowed to have Afghan security forces taking responsibility of currently unstable areas of the country within three years.
