Reported by: WROC-TV Monday, Nov 9, 2009 @03:50pm EST The Chevy Volt will not be the only electric vehicle offered by General Motors soon.
The Detroit News reports GM will put the Cadillac Converj into production, using the same technology as the Volt. The car debuted at the 2009 North American International Auto Show in Detroit. The Converj was included in a presentation from Cadillac to GM's board of directors earlier this month. The automaker has not announced a production date for the electric Cadillac and it's not known yet when it will be available at dealerships. The Chevy Volt is on track to be in those showrooms late next year. Before emerging with government help from bankruptcy, officials at GM said they had no plans to build the Converj. |
