Consumer Confidence Down for October

The latest statewide Siena Research Institute Consumer Confidence poll shows confidence in New York decreased 1.9 points while the nation's decreased 2.9 Points in October.

SRI Founding Director Dr. Douglas Lonnstrom calls the numbers disappointing, especially amid signs of an economic recovery.

Confidence in the Upstate region is slightly higher than the rest of the state, according to the survey.
