Reported by: WROC-TV Thursday, Nov 5, 2009 @11:10am EST The ball, the Big Wheel, and the Nintendo Game Boy are the Class of 2009 in the Toy Hall of Fame at the Strong National Museum of Play.
There are now 44 toys inducted into the Toy Hall, which is open year round in Rochester. Notable toys, such as Hot Wheels and The Game of Life were up for entry again, but denied. Other toys left out: Cabbage Patch Kids, paper airplane, playing cards, Rubik's Cube, sidewalk chalk, toy tea set, and Transformers. Last year, the skateboard, baby doll, and stick made the cut.
