Reported by: WROC-TV Wednesday, Nov 4, 2009 @07:30pm EST Operation Warm is warming up nearly 200 local students.
194 new coats were donated to kids at School #34 in Rochester on Wednesday. The people behind the donation are from Golden State Foods' Rochester plant. School #34 receives letters from parents every asking for winter gear. Golden State Foods was looking for a school that needed coats, and Operation Warm got the two groups together. "The smiles on the kids faces when they got their coats was just incredible," said Joe Sirianni, a service manager with Golden State Foods. "It just makes you feel great that you're able to help." To date, Operation Warm has supplied more than 500,000 coats to kids who need them. |
