    Students and staff at East High School are remembering 17-year-old Anthony Turner as a student and athlete with a bright future.

    Turner died Sunday after he was shot leaving a Halloween party on Augustine Street. Police are looking for suspects.

    Turner was working while going to school and on track to graduate in June. He ran track and played on the football team.

    East High's principal said Turner didn't cause any trouble at school.

    "I knew him as a student athlete who did what he had to do in the classroom, and really didnt show up on anyones radar as needing any type of intervention," said principal Anibal Soler.

    soler said that the East High football team is planning to present Turner's mother with his jersey to show their support.

    Anthony Turner will be laid to rest Friday morning at 11 o'clock.  His funeral will be held at the Baber AME Church on Meigs Street.
