Reported by: WROC-TV Thursday, Oct 29, 2009 @07:10pm EDT NASA has cleared Space Shuttle Atlantis for its launch to the International Space Station next month. The eleven-day mission is targeted for launch on November 16th.
NASA's top managers just completed a two day review of all the shuttle's systems and determined that everything is a "go" for the 31st flight of Atlantis. The launch team also said they completed the installation of a new onboard camera that will feed live launch images through the cockpit window giving people on the ground a chance to see exactly what astronauts see as they make the climb into orbit. |
