The 72-year-old comedian, actor, author, television producer, musician and activist is being awarded the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor at a ceremony at the Kennedy Center. Cosby will be honored by entertainers such as Jerry Seinfeld, Chris Rock and Sinbad. Cosby got his first big break on NBC's "I Spy" back in 1965, becoming the first African-American to earn an Emmy award. He's perhaps best known for playing Dr. Cliff Huxtable in the 1980s sitcom "The Cosby Show," which set viewership records at its peak. |
