In order to get out in front of a potential pandemic flu outbreak, The State University of New York has undertaken a system-wide campaign to prepare for all forms of flu. It plans to to educate about the virus and to respond quickly to parents, students, employees and the general public.

All SUNY policies and procedures undertaken to prepare, educate, and respond to pandemic flu follow medical guidelines from The Centers for Disease Control, U.S. Department of Health and the New York State Department of Health.
