Reported by: Lauren MacDonough Monday, Oct 12, 2009 @12:57pm EDT Before the Blackberry, before the iPhone, there was the Sidekick.
It's a phone that can do it all and it's less expensive than those big names. Just this past week, T-Mobile customers have been having problems with their Sidekicks. They're losing contact lists, calendars, photos, etc. The problem: Microsoft. Over the weekend, the company owned by Microsoft that makes sidekicks, Danger, came clean. The servers that store all that information crashed. Don't think you can fix it by popping out the battery. Microsoft says not only will the phone not reset, you'll lose that information forever. What they suggest: keep the battery charged until Microsoft can find a fix. Just remember, the Sidekick is a T-Mobile only device so only T-Mobile customers are affected. |
