Wednesday, Oct 7, 2009 @11:46am EDT Are you or someone you know pregnant? On this amazing nine month journey, you need to manage stress. Otherwise, you can damage your body and the growing baby in profound ways. First, conquer anxiety with knowledge. Choose an OB-GYN or midwife who shares your value on childbirth. Someone who supports you, and you can trust. Because of hormones, mood swings are normal. But seek professional help if you experience serious sadness. It could signal clinical depression. Exercise is a great stress buster. Check with your doctor first, and develop a routine. You may have food cravings, but going to the store for food and drink is not exercise. And walk thirty minutes everyday that I always tell you will keep you healthy. It’s the way for you and the baby to stay well. |
