Monday, Sep 14, 2009 @11:02pm EDT Ali Touhey General Assignment Reporter A graduate of SUNY Geneseo with a degree in Communications, Ali is excited to be back in the Rochester area. Before joining the News 8 Now team in March 2008, she was a reporter and fill-in anchor for WICZ-FOX 40 in Binghamton, NY. There, she saw the destruction from the devastating 2006 floods, and how residents banned together after being hit by such a severe storm. Ali says she’s most proud of her continuing coverage of the Calvin Harris murder trial, a Tioga County case which has received national attention. Ali grew up in Endwell, NY, is the youngest of five and owes much of her happiness to her incredibly supportive family and friends. Aside from reporting, Ali’s one true love is football. She can’t wait to go boating on Lake Ontario, check out her first Amerks game and take in the sites and sounds of the Jazz Festival! More importantly, she looks forward to meeting the residents of this great city and hearing all about what matters most to them. |
