Thad Brown
News 8 and Fox First at Ten Weekend Anchor/ Sports Reporter

Thad has been a sports anchor/reporter with News 8 Now since August 2000. This is actually his second tour of duty with WROC. Thad worked behind the scenes for WROC a year between 1998 and 1999. Thad also interned under John Kucko at WROC during the summers of 1996 and 1997. Before returning to News 8, Thad covered sports for a year at WBNG-TV in Binghamton, NY. There is very little Thad doesn't do sports-wise at News 8. When he's not filling in as the sports anchor, or covering the Bills and the myriad of Rochester pro-sports, Thad also works behind the camera. From high school, to local college to the NFL, Thad is almost always on the sideline with a camera on his shoulder. Thad was born and raised in Rochester. He played football and lacrosse at Aquinas Institute, graduating in 1994. Thad then earned a BA in Communications from Hofstra University in 1998. He is an avid golfer in his spare time. He now lives in Brighton with his bride, Tracy, and a beautiful new baby girl.
